We are open for comments on the UK’s 7th Carbon Budget
The UK’s 7th Carbon Budget, covering the period 2038-2042, was published on 27 February by the independent Climate Change Committee. See here. The overall budget is in Figure 1. There is a wealth of sectoral detail, as laid out in the Table of Contents, reproduced below.
No chat from us at this point, but the website is open for comments, either on the budget document itself, or on the implications for Brighton and Hove. Does the budget make sense? Is it feasible/sensible in the sectors you know about? And what does it mean for Brighton and Hove, especially taking account of our own objectives and decarbonisation pathways?
As usual, comments are moderated, and we ask you to be respectful and constructive. If you have comments on different aspects, please comment separately, so we can distinguish different threads. And note that there is a ‘Reply’ button in the top right hand corner of published comments. Use this to start or continue conversations. (NB the box for further comments on an existing comment opens below that entry.)
Thank you in advance for contributing.
